ADB starts upgrade project in Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust to implement the latest versions of their procurement and supply chain management products with their Procurement Suite for all their centralized and distributed procurement needs
Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust (WAHT) in conjunction with ADB Systemer AS has started a project to implement ADB’s procurement suite to manage and control all of the Trusts procurement, order management, goods receiving and invoice control functions. The Trust will now have the capability to centrally manage all procurement activity using WorkMate Centralised Procurement and implement distributed purchasing to all staff using WorkMate Procurement Manager. Supplier collaboration will also be managed using WorkMate Order Manager.
This project started in December 2006 and is in the planning, specification and configuration phase where any development, configuration and testing is currently being completed. We are expecting to start our pilot rollouts of applications in April 2007 and will quickly follow this with a Trust wide implementation.
Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust is responsible for providing high-quality acute healthcare services across Worcestershire. They employ around 5,000 staff and manage three hospitals – Worcestershire Royal Hospital in Worcester, the Alexandra Hospital at Redditch and Kidderminster Hospital. Medical staff from the Trust also provide care for the people of Worcestershire and surrounding counties by supporting clinics at numerous other locations.
